About Us

Grizzly Door Systems is owned by Mckee Horrigan Inc., a leading Canadian, privately owned company, specializing in the sale, repair, service and installation of commercial and residential overhead doors and loading docks since 1974.  Before that and since 1950, we manufactured wood doors under the name of McKee Door of Canada. Our extensive product lines of residential garage doors, industrial doors of all kinds, door openers and dock equipment ensures the right product will meet your requirements. As a result of the extensive knowledge developed over many years in the business, both our Sales and Service Teams are experts in their fields.

Limited One Year Parts & Labour

Parts and labour: Grizzly Door Systems warrants all installations under normal use for a period of 1 year from the date of installation, provided the customer can provide evidence of completing preventative maintenance during the warranty period.

Product and Parts: As we install several different brands and quality levels of doors, parts, and materials, the manufacturer’s warranty applies and can vary. If the warranty is an important feature, please consult us before we order any product to understand any warranties in advance.

Warranty Period: All warranty coverage is to commence from the date of primary installation. The product must be properly maintained and must be operated in compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations in order to be entitled to the benefits of any warranty.

Potential Costs: Grizzly Door Systems shall remedy any defects deemed covered under this warranty by replacing or repairing any defective equipment or parts while incurring reasonable expenses for all parts, labour and freight unless otherwise stated. Labour will be performed during regular business hours. Special requests for after-hours or weekends will be extra. Freight expenses for shipping repair/replacement parts will be included under standard conditions. Any overnight or special freight requirements by the end user will be billable to the end user. Any manufacturer part that is replaced during the Base Warranty time period will be either: covered for the remainder of the Base Warranty time period, or for a further 90 days, whichever is longer.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

Doors, docks, openers, and other product needs to be maintained and this is the responsibility of the end-user. Specifically, tune‑up and lubrication of the product are not covered under warranty.

Grizzly Door Systems’ service warranty is voided immediately if anyone other than a representative from the company attempts to repair or replace a covered part.

Abuse or misuse, unintended use of the product, and damage, including damage due to acts of God are not included under this warranty. This warranty does not cover consequential or incidental damages, such as damage or injury to a person or property because a garage door did not operate properly.

Our warranty does not extend to any glass breakage while working on, or inspecting; doors, closers, pivots etc. Small pre-existing glass cracks or chip damage can cause a complete failure while work is performed. For this reason, we will not warranty any door work against glass breakage.

Grizzly Door Systems does not cover the alignment of safety eyes on garage door openers after the initial installation. There are unlimited actions that can cause a safety eye to not be aligned after initial installation that is beyond the control of Grizzly Door Systems. A service call fee will be charged if we are dispatched to a call and it is determined that the safety eyes are out of alignment.

We do not cover programming/reprogramming of any remote control, keypad, or vehicle after the initial installation is complete. We do not program any WiFi Homelink systems or automobile remotes. This is the responsibility of the homeowner. Note, there are some vehicles that are not compatible with the technology of new garage door openers so there is the possibility that the opener will not program to your vehicle. This is not an issue with the garage door opener and there is no warranty for programming to the vehicle.

Any warranty is not transferable upon sale of the property.
